Eric Williams (Batavia, N.Y.) finished fourth in the 60-meter high hurdles on March 8 at the ECAC Division III Indoor Track & Field championship meet in Boston, Mass.Williams, a sophomore, posted a time of 8.33 seconds, just .02 off the previous meet record set by Adam Scalise of the Coast Guard Academy in 2012.

Scalise set a new record Saturday with a winning time of 8.12 seconds, just ahead of Terrence Gibson of Worcester State (8.13), and Chase Toliver of Gwynedd-Mercy (8.22), followed by Williams, who turned in the fifth-best time preliminary time Friday of 8.28 seconds.

Williams also ran a 22.67 in the 200 meters.

In the other notable performance Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Center, sophomore Kyle Collins (Suffern, N.Y.) set a personal-best of 8:39.91 to finish eighth in the 3,000 meters. His previous-best of 8:43.88 came at the SUNYAC meet last Saturday.

The Blue Devils earned 10 team points during the two-day meet -- five by Williams and one by Collins on Saturday, and four by junior Zakk Hess (Newark, N.Y.) on Friday for finishing fifth in the 5,000 meters.
