The Women’s Studies Program will sponsor the Women Take Aim Film Series this fall, with a series of animated films scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Oct. 25. All films shown will begin at 6:30 p.m. and presented in the Diers Recital Hall.

Films will include:

Tuesday, Oct. 25:

  • “Belly”, “My First Crush” and “Howard” directed by Julia Pott. Pott a London born and raised animator, recently obtained her Masters of Arts in Animation from Royal College in London. She has produced animations for Toyota and J.Crew and has been featured in numerous publications.

Wednesday, Oct. 26:

  • “Emilia”, “Tuesday” and “God Knows” will be screened by Asa Arnehed, a Swedish animator.

  • “Prickle Britches” and “Bludren” will also be shown by SUNY Fredonia Professor, Jill Johnston. Johnston is an Assistant Professor of Animation and Illustration, and her eleven independent films, including seven animations, have screened at international festivals across the world.
