After the Eclipse last April 2024, there were various discussions related to continuing an annual tradition of hosting a spring all-campus and community event that would offer similar activities as the Eclipse Viewing event.

In light of your interest in working to build a vibrant campus community, I am pleased to appoint you to the 2024-2025 Spring Annual Event Planning Committee.  As a committee your task is to imagine and execute a fun event that would bring the entire campus and invited community members together to celebrate and connect. By the end of the Fall 2024 semester, I would like the committee to recommend to me:

  1. Potential names for the event
  2. A set program of activities that would serve as the foundation for the event each year
  3. A proposed budget to successfully host the event
