The social media minor explores the cultural implications and communication strategies within social media. Students will develop skills in writing, video, audio, graphic design and other fields that are brought together under social media.
What to know about the minor:
- At least 9 credits must be taken at Fredonia
- Communication majors may declare the Social Media Minor as long as another minor outside of COMM is successfully completed.
- Communication majors may only share 6 credits between their major and the Social Media minor. Only ONE course from COMM 304, 306, 316, 319 can be applied to the minor
- The minimum GPA for successful completion of this minor is 2.5
- All Communication classes require a C or better to count towards the minor
- Advising with the department is strongly encouraged
- Total 22-23 credits are required
