Chairperson 1975-1983 This award was established by the family of Dr. Burkowsky, Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus. Dr. Burkowsky came to Fredonia in 1972 and served as Department Chairman from 1973-1983. His career spanned 43 years of service including 25 at Fredonia.

This scholarship is awarded to a graduate student in Speech Pathology, selected by the faculty, who demonstrates outstanding clinical skills, work ethic and professional potential.
