Numerous 2014 Fredonia Graphic Design graduates struck gold in the 2015 Buffalo ADDY awards student competition.
Lisa Hinterberger, who was hired last summer by SKM Group, a full-service marketing communications agency in Buffalo, received a Gold Award and Best of Show for her senior project. She joined fellow classmates Anne Leue, Jessica Wilcox, Maribel Avila, Alison Dyer, Jon McCray, Athena Kolokotronis and Kayleigh Forger in the group work, “Efferention,” which was similarly honored with a Gold.
These students, along with Barbara Sum and Christina Schultz, created Efferention – a newspaper that unfolds to create a mobile exhibition on issues surrounding forest and land use issues in Utah. They researched and created the initial exhibition plan and graphics as part of the Graphic Design 5 class taught by Associate Professor Margaret Urban.
The ADDY awards program, sponsored by the Advertising Club of Buffalo, was held March 6 at The Tralf Music Hall in downtown Buffalo’s Theatre District.
