SUNY Fredonia will host the second annual International Business Analytics Conference (IBAC) on Thursday and Friday, May 8 and 9.

IBAC 2025, in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room, will serve as a premier platform for bridging the gap between academic research and industry expertise in business and data analytics through the Academia-Industry Partnership. By uniting scholars and industry professionals, the conference aims to foster meaningful discussions, encourage collaboration and drive innovation in the rapidly evolving field of business analytics.

Susan Morrissey, the luncheon keynote speaker on Thursday, will present “Building Capacity for AI and Organizational Upskilling.”

Arina (Vlasova) Curtis, CEO of DataGPT, will be the Thursday dinner keynote speaker.

Scott Root, principal cloud solution architect at Microsoft, will be the Thursday fireside speaker.

Steven Walters will conduct a workshop, “Using AI to Go Beyond Textbooks,” on Friday.

Dr. Ernest Fokoue, a professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Rochester Institute of Technology, will be the fireside speaker on Friday.

Conference sessions will combine industry practitioners and academics in their respective areas of expertise. Students, both undergraduate and graduate, as well as scholars, academics and industry practitioners are invited to present and discuss their work in business analytics. Abstracts and extended abstracts will be published as proceedings.

Submissions covering a broad spectrum of topics related to research and the practical applications of business and data analytics across various industries are welcome. Topics can include, but are not limited, to the fields of Accounting, Business and Management, Computer Science/Management Information Systems, Economics, Finance and Insurance, Education, Healthcare, Marketing, Music and Entertainment and Sport Management.
