Economic development in Chautauqua County will be examined in the final Brown Bag talk of the fall semester.
Mark R. Geise, who is Deputy County Executive Director for Economic Development/CEO of the Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency, will present “The Current State of Economic Development in Chautauqua County” on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at noon in Williams Center Room S204.
Described as a strategic thinker with extensive public and private-sector planning and economic development experience, Mr. Geise serves as board co-chair of the Chautauqua County Partnership for Economic Growth and board chair of the Chautauqua County Land Bank.
Geise is also a board member of the Chautauqua County Visitors Bureau, Invest Buffalo Niagara and Chautauqua County Agriculture and Farmland Protection Board. He has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Design and a graduate degree in Urban Planning, both from the State University at Buffalo.
Brown Bag talks, sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Carnahan Jackson Fund for the Humanities of the Fredonia College Foundation, are free and open to students, faculty, staff and community members. Light food and refreshments are furnished by the Faculty Student Association.
