A SUNY Fredonia mental health counseling team will present a Brown Bag Lunch talk focusing on personal and community well-being.

The Brown Bag talk, on Wednesday, March 5, in Williams Center Room S204 beginning at noon, is free and open to the public.

The presentation, “The Ripple Effect: How Giving and Receiving Support Changes Us,” will be led by Assistant Professor Christopher Puglisi, director of clinical training in the online Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program. Dr. Puglisi received his Ph.D. in the Counselor Education program at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2022.

Two graduate students in the CMHC program – Adrian J. Leuthauser, of East Aurora, NY., and Samicka Mathews, Jamestown, N.Y. – will contribute to the presentation. Ms. Mathews earned a B.A in Psychology, with a minor in English, from SUNY Fredonia in 2022. Both are mental health counselors in training.

The M.S. Clinical Mental Health Counseling program is offered in the College of Education, Health Sciences, and Human Services.

Brown Bag talks, supported by the Carnahan Jackson Fund for the Humanities through the Fredonia College Foundation and Faculty Student Association, are held on the first Wednesday of the month.
