It its first meet since returning from its Winter Training in Florida, the men's swim team put up some positive results in a tri-meet with Oswego and Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday. Three swimmers earned firsts, and several were just off the pace in second place.
Ian Hilldale topped the 200 free in a time of 1:52.06; Tyler Conti's 200 butterfly time of 2:09.54 was good enough for first; and Samuel Cottrell finished first in the 200 breast stroke in a time of 2:26.75.
The 200 medley relay team touched second in 1:46.01. Riker Smith joined Hilldale, Conti, and Cottrell.
Cottrell took a second in the 100 breast stroke in 1:06.49; Hilldale took second in the 100 free (50.33) and 200 IM (2:13.01); and Conti was second in the 500 free in a time of 5:25.60.
The team returns to the pool next weekend to play host to Brockport.
