Junior Cara Pellechia won her third-consecutive indoor pole vault championship on Friday at the SUNYAC Championship Indoor Track and Field Meet. The Rochester native cleared 3.60m for the victory. She fell just short of her PR of 3.63m. Pellechia also has two outdoor championships under her belt. Fellow vaulter, freshman Skylar French, was sixth, clearing 2.90m.
Pellechia just missed earning points in two other events, with a ninth-place finish in the 200m, and a 10th place in the 60m.
Freshman Brayton Tripi earned points in a pair of jumping events. She was fifth in the high jump at 1.52m, and eighth in the long jump at 4.93m.
