Fredonia’s Career Development Office (CDO) will host its annual Job and Internship Expo on Tuesday, March 10, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room of the Williams Center. The event is free and open to current students as well as Fredonia alumni of any age.
More than 70 employers will be on hand to discuss possible job openings and internships within their organizations. Represented industries include business, energy, financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, technology, health and human service agencies, retail management, government, law enforcement, the armed forces and many other fields, offering full- and part-time positions, summer jobs and/or paid or for-credit internships.
Companies scheduled to participate are based in Buffalo, Rochester, Jamestown, Cheektowaga, Amherst, Dunkirk, Fredonia and other Western New York regions. In addition, out-of-state companies headquartered from Pittsburgh to Houston will be on hand.
A full list of participating companies can be found at www.fredonia.edu/cdo, and participants will continue be added as the event approaches.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to dress professionally, bring copies of their résumés and work portfolios, and come prepared by researching the employers and their industries before the event.
Job postings from many of the employers attending will be available in Quest, the CDO’s job and internship posting database, located on the CDO website. Several companies will return for on-campus interviews before and after the event.
