The annual Daffodil Days sale at SUNY Fredonia is taking place now through Feb. 23, with all proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer.
Daffodils are available for purchase in bunches of 10 and as potted bulbs, for $10 each, or as a bear and a bunch (flowers and a teddy bear) for $25. T-shirts with the daffodil “Hope” logo are $15 each in sizes S-XXL, and the matching card set includes 10 cards with envelopes for $7.
Donations of flowers or bears are also available for $25 each; the Gift of Hope includes a bouquet of 10 daffodils in a vase, which will be delivered anonymously to a local cancer patient. For the Bear of Hope, a teddy bear will be donated to a local pediatric oncology ward.
Place an order by Feb. 23 with Karen Begier (Student Accounts, G140 Williams Center, ext. 3236); Suzanne Freitas, (Facilities Services, Alumni, ext. 4299); Judy Langworthy (Administration, 505 AOC, ext. 3145); Deborah McCown (FSA, Gregory, ext. 6224; Teri Wygant (Advising Center, 2148 Fenton, ext. 3188); or Barbara Yochym (Educational Development Program, E286 Thompson, ext. 3317).
Payment is required in advance; checks may be made payable to the American Cancer Society. Deliveries will be made the week of March 22.
The American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days sale offers daffodils every spring to donors in appreciation for their contributions. Last year, Daffodil Days volunteers sold more than 3 million cut flowers in New York and New Jersey alone.
