Under the supervision of Fredonia dance faculty Sam Kenney and Angelika Summerton, 18 students from the Department of Theatre and Dance had the opportunity to attend the American College Dance Festival Conference at Ohio University from Feb. 28 to March 2.

The conference is hosted annually at different universities or colleges and gives students the opportunity to train with teachers and students form other dance programs at various institutions. The dancers studied with students from Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida, and highlights included several adjudicated dance concerts provided by the participants. The concerts foster creative potential in dance students, honor multiple approaches to scholarly and creative research and activity, promote excellence in choreography and performance, and give presence and value to diversity in dance.

The trip was partially sponsored by the Office of Student Creative Activity and Research.
