Michael Markham, associate professor of music history, has just published a new essay in the Los Angeles Review of Books on the music of Philip Glass.
In the review, Dr. Markham analyzes specific passages from Glass’ memoir, “Words without Music,” and connects them to the significance of Glass as a significant contributor to modern music in the late 20th century.
The Los Angeles Review of Books is a nonprofit, multimedia literary and cultural arts magazine that combines the great American tradition of the serious book review with the evolving technologies of the web.
