The 2011 spring concert will offer different and rather novel looks on classic fairy tales and fables, including “Cinderella” and “Peter Pan,” while also introducing somewhat obscure titles such as “The Willies” and “Fire-Fly Princess.”

Contemporary, ballet and hip-hop are among the dance formats featured in the production that showcases the talent of 30 students who began work on the show in January. Joseph Crescimanno, Orchesis president and a senior majoring in Exercise Science, is the director.

“It will be exciting because of the different takes on some of the classic fairy tales,” said Amanda Kurey, Orchesis vice president.
