SUNY Fredonia’s talented student vocalists will be in the spotlight for “Big Band Song and Dance,” the traditional Commencement Eve Pops concert, on Friday, May 13 at 8 p.m. in King Concert Hall. 

Graduating students and their families can be part of a commencement eve tradition at SUNY Fredonia and receive half-price tickets for “Big Band Song and Dance” at Rockefeller Arts Center on Friday, May 13 at 8 p.m. in King Concert Hall.

“Big Band Song and Dance,” which features some of SUNY Fredonia’s most talented student vocalists and dancers, is the 18th annual Commencement Eve Pops concert.

By using special discount code FAMILY when ordering tickets, graduating students and their family members will receive half-price tickets. Tickets are available through the SUNY Fredonia Ticket Office in the Williams Center.

The phone number is 716-673-3501 (1-866-441-4928) and online orders may be placed at www.fredonia.edu/tickets. Ticket office hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

The concert also features the Little Apple Big Band, a professional ensemble led by School of Music Faculty member Bruce Johnstone. The repertoire includes songs made famous by performers such as Frank Sinatra, Rosemary Clooney, Ella Fitzgerald and Bobby Darin. More information is available at www.fredonia.edu/rac.
