Information on the SUNY Fredonia bachelor’s degree in Social Work will be presented twice in November for all prospective students, especially those who hold an associate’s degree or are interested in studying part-time. The Social Work program at Fredonia is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and has been in existence since 1997.

The first session is Tuesday, Nov. 7 in the SUNY Fredonia Williams Center, Room S-104, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The second session is Tuesday, Nov. 14 in the Weeks Room on the second floor of the Arts and Science Building at Jamestown Community College, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Joining the Fredonia representatives there will be Catherine Iannello, coordinator of the JCC Human Services program.

Carole Faulk, program director of the social work degree at SUNY Fredonia, said, “The SUNY Fredonia Social Work Program has had a long collaboration with Jamestown Community College in social work education. Because the two colleges work closely together, there are excellent opportunities for students who need to finish their degrees on a part-time basis. JCC and Fredonia have a firm agreement about the necessary coursework, so that transferring is a seamless process for those who have already completed associate’s degrees.”
