Dr. Kim TilleryDr. Kim Tillery (at right) has been elected President of the New York State Speech - Language - Hearing Association.

For more than 50 years, the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association has representing the professions of speech-language pathology and audiology by encouraging the use of best practices and advocating for legislative initiatives and professional development opportunities.

A 2009 recipient of the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, Dr. Tillery has chaired the Department of Communication Disorders and Sciences since 2004, and has been a member of the SUNY Fredonia faculty since 1997.

Dr. Tillery’s research and clinical expertise involves the relationship of auditory processing disorders, learning and attention deficits; specific therapy aspects of auditory processing disorders and Ritalin’s effect on auditory processing disorders. One of her recent publications is the chapter, "Use of medication with auditory processing disorders," in the book, Auditory Processing Disorders: Assessment, Management and Treatment (2nd edition) by D. Geffner and D. Swain.
