CLERMONT, Fla. -- Fredonia scored the first six goals of the second half Tuesday to pull away from Rowan in non-conference women's lacrosse.

Up 6-5 at halftime, the Blue Devils got two goals each by Marissa Cussins (Corning, N.Y. / Corning-Painted Post West) and Audrey Yokopovich (Webster, N.Y. / Webster Thomas) and one each by Katie Glagolev (Webster, N.Y. / Webster Thomas) and Emily Polizzi (Rushville, N.Y. / Marcus Whitman).
Cussins finished with six goals and two assists, Glagolev with four goals, and Katie Kleine (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) with one goal and three assists.
Freshman goalkeeper Nicole Burrows (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker) made 11 saves.
The Blue Devils are back in action Wednesday morning against St. Lawrence in Bradenton, Fla., as part of Spring Fling 2015.
NOTES: The Blue Devils return home this weekend as the host of a four-team get-together at University Stadium. Brockport and Montclair State will meet at noon Saturday, followed by a scrimmage between Fredonia and Monroe Community College at 3 p.m. The Blue Devils will then play host to Monclair State at 1 p.m. Sunday ... The Blue Devils at Elmira on Fri., April 10, at 2 p.m. Originally scheduled for March 8, the game was postponed because the Elmira field was still covered with snow.
