Linda BriganceLinda Brigance (right) , associate professor in the Department of Communication, will be one of 66 “celebrity readers” who will be taking part in a nationwide reading of the children’s book, “Llama Red Pajama,” in conjunction with “Read for Success Buffalo” on Thursday, Oct. 6 at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northtowns.

Read to Succeed Buffalo is a non-profit organization focused on preparing children for school by helping to improve their language and literacy skills from birth through age five. Research shows that children who start behind in school tend to stay behind leading to poor academic achievement, high drop out rates and often a lifetime of struggle.
