Take advantage of some “old-school” fun offered during Winter Welcome Back Week by Spectrum Entertainment Board, Student Association and WHOA Campus Life. Numerous events will be staged throughout the first week of classes, Jan. 28 through Feb. 2, at the Williams Center.

The fun begins Monday in the Multipurpose Room with Movie Night, featuring “Anchorman” with comedian Will Farrell and free popcorn, while it lasts, at 7 p.m. On Tuesday, also at 7 p.m., a Bingo game will get underway. The Spot hosts Open Mic Night on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Entertainers can start to sign up at 6:30 p.m., and the best acts will be awarded.

Big-screen entertainment returns Thursday with “Mean Girls,” starring Lindsay Lohan, at 7 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room.

The second annual Welcome Week Casino Night will be held Saturday from 9:30 p.m. to midnight, in the Multipurpose Room. Giveaways are both numerous and attractive and include a 40-inch flat screen television and iPod. Students can use their meal plans to participate and chow down on chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks and other late-night munchies.

Welcome Back events are free to students with SUNY Fredonia identification.
