The Oswego State Lakers will provide the opposition for Fredonia hockey's annual Pink The Rink game next Feb. 3 at the Steele Hall Ice Arena.

It'll be the 12th renewal of the event, which has raised over $76,400 to date for the American Cancer Society, primarily through the sale of game-worn pink jerseys worn by the Blue Devils.

'Pink The Rink' is one of 15 games on the 2017-18 Blue Devil home schedule, not including an exhibition game vs. Buffalo State on Sat., Oct. 21, to get things started. The regular season begins with road games Fri., Oct. 27 at Utica and Fri., Nov. 3 at Brockport before the home opener Fri., Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. vs. Geneseo.

Other schedule highlights include the second Stroke Awareness Game set for Fri., Dec. 1 vs. Potsdam. That's the first of seven straight home games at the Steele Hall Fieldhouse. The schedule also includes a pair of three-game homestands. Senior Night is set for Sat., Feb. 17.

All home games are set for 7 p.m. starts with two exceptions: Sat., Dec. 9 vs. SUNY Canton at 4 p.m., and Sat., Jan. 6 vs. Stevenson at 3 p.m.

The 2017-18 season will also mark the 30th for Fredonia head coach Jeff Meredith, which makes him the fifth longest-tenured bench boss in NCAA Division III. Meredith's head coaching tenure dates back to 1988-89, the second varsity season in the history of program. He has 357-318-79 mark against NCAA countable opponents. In all games, he's 395-350-82.
