Buster Brown Bean Company is partnering with Fredonia Radio Systems to sell an orange creamsicle drink April 1 through 16. A portion of the proceeds from all drinks sold will be donated to the family of Nick Spawn, a SUNY Fredonia student who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia in December 2008.
The drink, created based upon the “awareness color” (learn more about this) of Leukemia, is being sold for $3.25 at the Gazebo Café in Fenton Hall, the Three Corners in McEwen Hall, the Upbeat Café in Mason Hall, and the Campus Grind in the Williams Center until Friday, April 16.
The drink is also being sold Saturday, April 17 in the Masonic Lodge in Fredonia, as a supplement to Rockin’ the Commons, Fredonia Radio Systems’ annual benefit for Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
The event is being held this year in honor of Nick Spawn. All proceeds from this year's event will benefit research and patient care of individuals diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. Buster Brown will be selling the drink during the event from 11:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.

About Nick Spawn:
Nick was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) in the beginning of December 2008.
He is a Senior TV Digital FIlm Major at SUNY Fredonia, who was planning on graduating in the Spring of 2009. Unfortunately, this bout with cancer held him up for a short while. He will receive his degree in Spring 2011.
Throughout the past year, he has remained strong and positive, no matter what the circumstances. His friends and family have been there to support him throughout his treatment process every step of the way. In late January 2010, Nick was given the "OK" to travel more than 25 minutes away from the hospital, which he hadn't been allowed to do for 7 months. He immediately traveled from Buffalo to his home in Owego, NY, and then to see all his friends in Fredonia, NY.
