Senior Sara Bartz, a Communications Disorders and Sciences major completing her degree in only three years, has been named Student of the Month for March by the Office of Residence Life.
With a 3.67 GPA named to the Dean’s List, Ms. Bartz has received the Fredonia Community Service Award, Leadership Corps Award and the Canyon Camera Award.
Bartz, a member of Leadership Corps, helps in leading clubs and students on campus face their fears and come together as a team. In addition, Bartz is a member of the Student Association as a Class of 2015 representative and Environmental Committee member.
While at Fredonia, Bartz has had the opportunity to participate in several community volunteer activities such as Relay for Life, the Campus Host Program, Up Till Dawn,’ Buffalo Kids News Day, Fall Sweep and the Suicide Prevention Walk.
Sara plans to attend D'Youville College this upcoming year to pursue a graduate degree in Occupational Therapy.
The Student of the Month program was implemented in 2003 to recognize students who are well rounded, excel in their academics and contribute positively to the campus and community.
