Doors will open wide at the Fredonia Technology Incubator, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk, for business, university and community members at its third annual open house on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 4 to 7 p.m.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet representatives of current incubator businesses, officials at the State University of New York at Fredonia and leaders in local economic development and businesses during the open house, which is free and open to the public. Tours of the building will also be given and refreshments will be served.

“This open house will provide an opportunity for the community to meet some of our entrepreneurs while also providing our business tenants the opportunity to meet with the public, including business and economic development leaders,“ said incubator director Chuck Cornell. “The event will also provide information about our program and an opportunity to tour the facility.”

The incubator offers entrepreneurs access to a unique facility, business resources and technology expertise, as well as a range of highly qualified academic and business professionals and mentors. The 21,000-square-foot facility provides support and shared services to start-up companies.

Promoting economic growth in Western New York by supporting entrepreneurship and development of new, innovative companies into successful business ventures is the goal of the incubator which was founded in 2013 and is part of Fredonia’s Division of Engagement and Economic Development.
