The Office of Campus Life has organized a slate of Welcome Week activities for all students:
On Wednesday, Jan. 25, a Diversity Summit Lecture featuring Dr. Maura Cullen is slated for 7 p.m. in King Concert Hall. The event is free, but tickets are required and available at the SUNY Fredonia Ticket Office in the Williams Center Temporary Office Complex.
Ultimate Bingo will be offered on Thursday, Jan. 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Dods Hall Multipurpose Room. More than $750 in prizes will be given away including movies, games, apartment supplies, electronic items, iTunes gift cards and more. The event is free and students will need to bring their SUNY Fredonia ID to participate.
Students ready for fun on wheels will enjoy Retro Rollerskating on Friday, Jan. 27 from 7 until 10 p.m. in the Dods Hall Multipurpose Room. The area will be turned into a classic roller rink with retro tunes and free skate rentals. To participate in the free event, students will need to bring their SUNY Fredonia ID.
Cranston Marché is the site of a Casino Night on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m. The cost of the event is 1 meal or the equivalent in points. Students without meal plans can pay in cash at the door. Prizes, food, gaming tables, and live entertainment will be offered. Students living in residence halls can sign up for the event in advance.
Welcome Week events are supported by the President's Office, Residence Life, Student Affairs, the Student Association, Campus Life, ADEPT, Faculty Student Association, Spectrum, and the WHOA (Weekend Hang Out Activities) Committee.
The traditional SUNY Fredonia Activities Night will take place on Thursday, Feb. 2 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Steele Hall arena. This is a change from the typical day and location due to the Williams Center renovation.
