Career Accomplishments/Goals: I entered the PhD program in Industrial Engineering at Georgia Tech in 2015. There, I had a Research Assistantship sponsored by the National Science Foundation. I passed all of my comprehensive exams, so I can return there down the road if I so choose. I began at Citadel in May, 2017. There, I work on the company's data content team. We are responsible for producing data (mainly through web scraping) for use by all of the company's capital investment teams, and quality-assuring data produced in the past. The team is very heavily based on Python, so I use that on a daily basis, although I will never relent in saying that R is better. The job is great because it is both fast-paced and challenging and keeps my brain engaged every minute that I am at work!
Memory of Fredonia: Any given day on which I engaged in a mathematics/non-mathematics-related conversation with Dr. Rogers and Nick Ahlstrom.
