The first ever Fredonia Campus School reunion will be held on Friday July 6, 2012. All former Campus School students and teachers are welcome to attend.The reunion will be held at the Fredonia Beaver Club at 64 Orchard St. from 7 PM until 10 PM.
All Campus School alumni are invited to bring their memories of this very special school experience to the reunion.
The reunion is the result of a group of former students who have gathered together on Facebook to reconnect with each other. This facebook page, The Fredonia State Campus School Page, has lots of old photos and memories and is open to all former students, teachers, and friends of the Campus School.
The Campus School was located at the Old Main building (currently One temple Square) on Temple St in Fredonia. The elementary school taught students from kindergarten through 9th grade and served as the training ground for future teachers studying at SUNY Fredonia.
Campus school students were taught by these student teachers as well as an outstanding faculty from the college. The Campus School was in operation until the late 1970's when the college decided to close the facility.
The evening of July 6th will be a casual and informal event which will allow for former students and teachers to share their memories and reconnect with former classmates. Light snacks and a cash bar will provided.
A charge of $5 per person will be charged to offset expenses.
