English minor Sivan Adler recently edited and published a Holocaust memoir by her grandmother, Irene Adler.
Ms. Adler will read from the memoir, "Who Will Take Care of the Cat?" at a campus book launch on Tuesday May 6, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in Fenton Hall Room 105 (lecture hall).
The date coincides with the 80th anniversary of Sivan's grandfather, Bernard Adler's, liberation by U.S. forces from the Elbensee concentration camp in Austria, one day before Germany's official surrender in World War II.
After reading from the memoir, Adler will be interviewed about the editing process of the book.
A reception in Adler's will immediately follow the event. This event is free and open to the public.
