Working women who are finding it increasingly difficult to “have it all” are invited to attend “Fit, Well and Working,” the 2013 Spring Program of the Council for Women’s Concerns, on Wednesday, April 10, at 10 a.m. at the Bob Steele Multipurpose Room.
Penny Hite, chair of the Department of Sports Management and Exercise Science at SUNY Fredonia, will serve as the principal speaker.
The program will address how the multiple roles of women – caregiver, responsible mother, respected partner and productive and consequential employee – can easily take precedence over achieving fitness and wellness in crafting a workable blueprint for success.
Hite’s presentation will focus on helping working women incorporate fitness, nutrition and wellness into their busy lifestyles, enabling them to “have it all.”
Free refreshments and a door prize for a campus employee of a one-semester membership (valued at $50) to the new Blue Devils Fitness Center, donated by the President’s Office, will be offered. Admission to the free program is limited to the first 55 registrants.
