Peer Recruitment logoSUNY Fredonia’s Peer-Recruitment Program is seeking student volunteers who will return to their high schools to share their Fredonia experience with prospective students. Students usually visit during the Thanksgiving, Winter or Spring break. Participation is open to all currently enrolled SUNY Fredonia students, all majors are encouraged. The program coordinators are looking for students who are social, outgoing, and really love Fredonia.

Prior to visiting, students need to participate in a brief training sessions that helps prepare them and provides materials to utilize during the visit.

Peer recruiters typically spend about an hour visiting their previous high school talking to Juniors and Seniors that might be considering applying to Fredonia. These prospective students are most interested in hearing from current students about campus life and the transition to college.

Students who complete a visit will receive a gift from Admissions Office. Students can choose to receive either a FRED water bottle or a FRED flag (new to campus this semester).
