An agreement has been reached between SUNY Fredonia and Niigata University of Pharmacy and Applied Life Sciences (NUPALS), of Japan, to encourage the development of joint research projects and facilitate faculty and student mobility between the two educational institutions.
SUNY Fredonia President Virginia Horvath and Niigata University of Pharmacy and Applied Life Sciences President Hiroshi Terada signed a letter of intent to facilitate those goals at a recent gathering at the home of the SUNY Fredonia president.
Positioned at the center of the Niigata bio-research park, NUPALS works with local industry and government to identify future medical, food, environmental and technology needs relative to applied life sciences. It was founded in 1977.
