In conjunction with SUNY Fredonia's Academic Information Technology office, Apple, Inc., will be presenting a workshop on its digital photography software on Wednesday, April 23, as part of its Campus Lecture Series. The event is free and open to all.

The workshop, entitled, "The Photography Tour," will be offered in McEwen Hall G-09 in a morning session starting at 9 a.m. and an afternoon session starting at 1 p.m. The workshop is two hours long.  To register, send an email to Brett Davis at Apple, Inc.  Participants will be introduced to the industry-standard software to edit, manage, share, and archive their photos.

According to John McCune of Academic Information Technology, the workshop will be presented by professional photographers who will showcase some of their best work and talk about what it takes to tell a story with a single image. They will describe how they used Apple products such as Aperture, iLife '08 and iWork '08 in creating their digital images.

About the workshop, Apple, Inc., noted, "The shift from film to digital has transformed the way professional photographers work - creating both new processes and exciting possibilities. Today's aspiring photographers and photojournalists need to be able to shoot, sort, and select images faster than ever before. The Photography Tour brings pro photographers to campus to discuss their workflow and show you firsthand how they use digital tools to get the most from every shot."
