SUNY Fredonia's College Tutoring Service is now hiring students to join its tutoring staff for the 2010/2011 academic year. Faculty are encouraged to recommend top students to apply for a tutoring job. Students hired as CTS tutors are paid an hourly wage to work from two to six hours per week for drop-in students at the Learning Center, or in one-on-one hourly sessions with specific students assigned by the program.

The deadline to apply is Friday, March 12.  Drop off applications by 5 p.m. at the Learning Center on the fourth floor of Reed Library.

The College Tutoring Service was organized by four campus departments: the Learning Center, the Full Opportunity Program, Disability Support Services for Students, and the Educational Development Program,

Application forms are available in the EDP office, the Learning Center, and on-line at the Learning Center website.

“Working as a tutor not only pays but has proven to be a golden credential for students seeking admission to graduate programs and competing for jobs, fellowships, and teaching positions,” Learning Center Director Liza Smith said.
