A festive atmosphere will arrive on campus with the traditional Hanging of the Greens.

Students, faculty and community members are invited to the free event in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Highlights include lighting of a tree, crafts offered by student organizations, musical performances, and cookies and refreshments while supplies last. President Stephen H. Kolison Jr. will offer a few welcome remarks and light the holiday tree.

The Renaissance Choir will perform, and craft tables will be set up by eight student clubs that include Animation and Illustration (caricatures), Psychology Club, Guitar Society, Teacher Education Club, Hillel, Black Student Union, Latinos Unidos and Students Against Suicide.

A wide variety of cookies (frosted cutouts, chocolate chip, sugar, gingerbread, vegan and gluten-free) as well as donuts, hot chocolate, tea and coffee will be furnished. Attendees can also take home a cookie kit, while they last, that consists of a cookie, frosting and sprinkles.

A photo booth, free of charge, will also be set up and stuff-a-bears, at $5 each (cash only) will be available while supplies last.

Parents or guardians must remain with their children at all times, as drop-offs will not be permitted.
