Following updates to the campus databases and set-up page, we will conduct an additional NY-Alert test next week.
Thank you for your patience as ITS worked to update our campus databases and sign-up page for NY-Alert following our first test at the beginning of the semester. We encourage everyone to go to the NY-Alert page and follow the instructions to confirm your mobile phone/text numbers and/or email addresses are active to receive alerts.
We will conduct a second campus test of the NY-Alert system this Thursday, Oct. 24, at 12:25 p.m. At that time, you will receive a test message from the NY-Alert system to the devices you signed up to receive them. We will send another email Thursday morning before the test as a reminder.
NY-Alert can send text, email, and recorded voice messages to multiple email addresses and phone numbers simultaneously. It is one of several notification tools used to send emergency information to the entire campus quickly.
