The Campus Ticket Office has announced a new option for students seeking transportation between Fredonia and Buffalo.
Starting April 27, Executive Transportation Service of WNY will run one shuttle each Saturday to the Metro Transportation Center in Buffalo. The shuttle will leave campus from the Williams Center at 9 a.m. sharp. The service will continue for the remainder of the current semester.
In addition, the company will offer a morning shuttle run during finals week beginning Wednesday, May 15. The bus will leave campus at 9 a.m. sharp with stops at the Amtrak station in Depew, the Buffalo Airport and the Metro Transportation Center in Buffalo.
The ticket office is offering this service at $25 per trip. Please note that tickets must be purchased at the Campus Ticket Office at least 48 hours in advance of departure and that the tickets are non-refundable. The ticket office is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
As with regular term break shuttle service, passengers are limited to one piece of luggage plus one personal item such as a purse or backpack.
The Campus Ticket Office has added this additional service because Coach USA recently reduced its daily schedule from five buses to just one.
“This problem has been caused by a general labor shortage in our region and we are not sure how soon Coach USA will rectify this situation,” Ticket Office Manager Jefferson Westwood said. “Therefore, to try to lessen the impact on Fredonia students, we have engaged the company we use for term break shuttle service to operate some additional shuttles for the rest of this semester.”
Questions should be directed to the ticket office.
