The 2020 Outstanding Administrative Service Awards have been presented to five SUNY Fredonia employees, whose collective service spans more than 60 years and all major departments within the Finance and Administration division.
The awards highlight exemplary service that employees give to the campus.
Vice President for Finance and Administration Michael Metzger told the recipients, “Thank you for your resilience and dedication during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a university we continued to educate, house and feed our students to finish the Spring 2020 semester. An even higher achievement was that we were able to have a full Fall 2020 semester. You’re the best of the best.”
Criteria for the award, now in its 18th year includes: outstanding Fredonia service attitude; creativity and resourcefulness in improving services; demonstrated team effort in everyday actions and positive attitude in dealing with students, faculty and staff.
Award recipients included:
Sandra Noble, a member of the professional staff as Director of University Accounting, has been employed at Fredonia since January 2010. Ms. Noble is a resident of Fredonia.
Nicole Raynor, from Secretarial/Clerical, has been employed at Fredonia since September 2014 when she began as a Mail and Supply Clerk. She is currently an Office Assistant 2 in University Services (Mail/Stores). Ms. Raynor is a resident of Dunkirk.
Hector Figueroa, a Janitor with Custodial Services, who began his career at Fredonia in November 2005 as a cleaner. Mr. Figueroa resides in Fredonia.
Cindy Korzeniewski of the Faculty Student Association (FSA) Operational Services, is currently a Grade 9 Cook in Cranston Marche. She began her career at FSA in October 2002. Ms. Korzeniewski resides in Fredonia.
Randall Grant, a Plant Utilities Engineer 1 in Professional Trades-HVAC, who began his career at Fredonia in August 2010 as a Refrigeration Maintenance Assistant. Mr. Grant resides in Fredonia.
The award recipients' names are also added to a commemorative plaque which hangs in the third floor conference room in Maytum Hall.
