After reviewing thousands of nominations from across the country, the village of Fredonia has been named a Top 10 Finalist for Season 5 of "Small Business Revolution," an original TV series produced by Deluxe that airs on Hulu (https://www.deluxe.com/small-business-revolution). Each season, the show selects a small American town and helps several small businesses revitalize and grow, while also giving the town a $500,000 revitalization prize!

One of the ways we can show Fredonia is unique from the other towns in the Top 10 is the strong and positive relationship between the college and the community. We want to demonstrate to the show's producers how much SUNY Fredonia is engaged with the village of Fredonia.

So how can you help? Two of the show's producers will be in Fredonia to tour and learn about the community this week. Please join community leaders at a short rally at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House on Wednesday (Dec. 11) at 1:30 p.m. when the producers first arrive (they will arrive at 2 p.m.). We want to fill the opera house with students and residents -  wearing Fredonia gear if you have some  ̶  and give them an enthusiastic greeting. Yes, the timing of the visit during the last week of classes is not perfect, but if you are available for just a few minutes on Wednesday, you can help create a positive first impression of our village.

We want to convince the show's producers that Fredonia is worthy of being named one of the five towns to move to the final, public voting stage of the competition (to be announced in January), so please join us!
