Assistant Professor Josal Diebold was appointed to the Association for Community Organization and Social Action (ACOSA) board in January.
In the role as the Community Organization and Social Administration Track (COSA) Convener, Dr. Diebold, of the Department of Sociocultural and Justice Sciences, will review proposals related to community organization and social administration for the Council on Social Work Education’s (CSWE) Annual Program Meeting.
Diebold will also serve as the liaison to CSWE for ACOSA and participate on the board.
ACOSA is an interdisciplinary professional association grounded in social work. Its mission is to promote social change by strengthening community practice. Diebold’s involvement aligns with their research interests in community organizing and abolitionist social work. Diebold will serve a two-year term (2025-2027).
