Dr. Ici Vanwesenbeeck will give the keynote speech at the 10th Annual Roundtable on Gender Issues in Alexander Xhuvani University.
Dr. Vanwesenbeeck, of the Department of English, was previously a Fulbright scholar in Albania, where the university is located, and organized the inaugural Women's History Month Roundtable Events with Dr. Eriada Çela, Vilma Tafani and Lori Vavla.
The roundtable is slated for March 12.
The roundtable is one of the longest lasting women's events at the university. This year's topic is the European Union Gender Equality Strategy. Invited speakers are H.E. Mr. Reinout Vos, who is Ambassador in the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Albania; and Michele Ribbotta, the United Nations Women Representative to Albania.
