The presentation will focus on the content, methodology and process of creating the 10 works that comprise the series. Mediums employed by Mr. Frerichs include larger scale papermaking, paper pulp painting, collage on vintage U.S. Army survey maps and intaglio monoprinting. The series is part of Frerichs’ large project, “Navigation: Lake Erie/The Great Lakes,” that Frerichs exhibited at the Morgan Conservatory in Cleveland. That project will also be exhibited at the Burchfield Penney Art Center in 2022.

Frerichs’ installations, works on paper and artist books have been exhibited internationally and nationally. His artwork is included in international and national public, corporate and private collections.

The virtual event will bring together academics, artists, designers and stakeholders from the relevant sector and students with a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach. Works in the fields of fine arts, design, art education and related disciplines of these fields will be featured.
