The Fredonia State women's soccer season came to an end with a 4-0 loss on Wednesday at the hands of the regular-season champion, New Paltz Hawks. 

The Devils end the season with a 12-8-0 mark, tying the team record for wins in a season.

New Paltz controlled most of the play, registering 12 shots on goals while the Devils were not credited with any scoring chances. They out shot the Fredonia State, 23-1.

The Hawks scored three times in the first half -- in the 18th, 42nd, and 33rd minutes. New Paltz scored its fourth goal in the second half with a fourth different scorer. Gaby Trebel, Rachel Eisert, Alyssa Deutsch, and Kennedy Jones all scored.

Fredonia State goaltender Abby Szymkowiak finished the game with seven saves, while the Hawk's Maddie Franklin was not credited any saves.

It was the final contest for Fredonia State seniors Katie Sellers, Grace Auer, Maddie Payne, and Jenna Tenney.
