Six Fredonia seniors and alumni who have been granted admission to health professional schools this fall will participate in an online version, via Zoom, of the annual Accepted Student Panel discussion on Tuesday, May 5 (today!), at 7 p.m.
Panelists include: Travis Briggs, who earned a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies: Exercise Science in 2018 and is completing an M.S. in Biology at Fredonia and will attend St. George’s University School of Medicine; Conner Dolce, who earned a B.S. in Biology and is completing an M.S. in Biology at Fredonia and will attend the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine; Laurel Finson, a senior Biology major who will attend the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences; and Marina Kessler, a senior Molecular Genetics major who will attend the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Two recent graduates will also participate in the panel; Ryan Ruia, who earned a B.S. in Molecular Genetics in 2018 and has been accepted to medical school but has not finalized his decision on which school he will attend; and Carter Windoft, who earned a B.S. in Molecular Genetics in 2019 and will attend Southern College of Optometry.
Panelists will offer insight into the application process with current Fredonia students, sharing what they did to prepare to attend a health professional school and describe their application experiences.
Students who have specific questions that they would like to ask may send them to Department of Biology Professor Ted Lee by 4 p.m. today.
