Senior Layla Hollis from Polk, PA, was named January/February Resident Assistant of the Month by the Office of Residence Life.
Ms. Hollis is a fourth semester R.A. and a Music Education major. She is also the music director of Dynamic Intonation, section leader of Chamber Choir, and also is in College Choir and Masterworks Chorus.
When asked about what she likes best about Fredonia, Hollis noted, "My favorite thing about Fredonia is our supportive community. I have built so many professional and personal relationships during my time here and have received so many wonderful opportunities. I feel very supported in my academics."
When asked about her future plans, she said, "For my future plans I will be heading back home to student teach in the Fall 2025 semester. I’m very excited to student teach and then work toward my master’s degree!"

His praise of Hollis included, "Layla Is extremely welcoming and residents very often find it easy to engage in conversation with Layla. Everyone on the staff feels comfortable and welcomed by being around her, and she is always willing to lend a helping hand whenever able."
