The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) recognized Fredonia's Matt Letmanski , Cortland's Luca Durante and Geneseo's Peter Morgan as the PrestoSports Men's Ice Hockey Athlete, Goaltender and Rookie of the Week respectively.
Letmanski tallied four points on two goals and two assists in a 2-1-0 week for the Blue Devils. On Feb. 15, he tallied a powerplay goal and added an assist in a 3-2 victory over Geneseo. Letmanski then notched two points on one goal and one assist in a 5-4 win over Oswego on Feb. 18. For the season, he has 17 points on six goals and eleven assists.
Durante posted a 2-0 record with a 0.50 GAA, 65 saves, a .985 save percentage and one shutout as the Red Dragons (14-9-2, 9-5-2 SUNYAC) swept a pair of road conference games over the weekend to clinch the fourth seed in the upcoming league tournament. In a 4-0 victory at Buffalo St. on Friday, Durante turned aside 28 shots as he recorded a program record third shutout of the season, including his second over the Bengals. On Saturday, he stopped 37 shots as Cortland defeated Fredonia, 3-1, to secure the fourth seed and a home game versus the Blue Devils in the first round. For the season, Durante has posted a 12-5-2 record with a 2.09 GAA, 662 saves, a .940 save percentage and those three shutouts.
Morgan recorded a team-high 5 points on three games played this week. He registered two goals in a 10-1 win over Morrisville, two assists against Brockport, and one assist against Fredonia. Morgan finished with +/- of +5.
