Oncology physician and clinical professor Roger Macklis, M.D., will present part two of his Successful Application to Medical School presentation.

During his Friday, April 11, talk, Dr. Macklis will review pertinent aspects of the medical school interview process that include more recent elements, such as video interviews and MMI (Multiple Mini Interview), among other topics. The session will be held at 3 p.m. in Science Center Room 122.

The Health Professions Advising Office is hosting the Macklis’ two-part lecture series.

At his first talk on March 28, Macklis addressed specific aspects of the application process and how to prepare successful applications to medical and osteopathic programs. Juniors and seniors planning to apply to M.D. or physician assistant programs attended the session.

Macklis has three decades of experience in the clinical, academic and business aspects of a radiation oncology practice, and was recognized in the “Best Doctors in America” list (top 5 percent national ranking) for over 25 years. Before retiring last year, Macklis was affiliated with University Hospitals/Case Cancer Center for 10 years and Cleveland Clinic Foundation for 21 years.

He has B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biochemistry from Yale University and M.D. degree from Harvard Medical School.
