The Office of Residence Life encourages nomination of students for the Student of the Month Program.
The program is in its 22nd year, having begun in Spring 2003 to recognize outstanding SUNY Fredonia students.
The Student of the Month Committee recognizes students who are well-rounded, who excel in their academics and who contribute positively to the campus and community. Nominations of students who embody and/or intentionally support the campus in honoring diversity, enhancing wellness and promoting career-readiness are especially encouraged.
The student selected as the Student of the Month will receive a $20 gift card to the bookstore, a certificate and lunch at Cranston Marche with their nominator. In addition, the student’s name will be engraved on a plaque that hangs in the Office of Residence Life, and the student will have a biographical article published in the Campus Report.
The deadline for January/February nominations is on Friday, Feb 28. The campus community is encouraged to nominate students who have completed at least one year at Fredonia. The students do not need to live on campus. Nominations may be completed using the following link Student of The Month Form, found here and also on the Residence Life website. The winner will be selected by committee members.
Deadlines for subsequent Student of the Month nominations are, for the March award, Tuesday, April 1; for April, Thursday, May 1; and for May, Monday, May 5.
