The sale of jerseys for the Tanner Kahlau Memorial game has begun.

Previously scheduled to begin in July, sales began last month via an online store set up by Fredonia State.

Currently, there are 35 jerseys for sale through the online store but back orders will be accepted. There are two shipping options. People attending the game will be able to pick up their jersey in the Steele Hall lobby during the first and second intermissions. People unable to attend can choose to have their jersey shipped for $10 via the United States Postal Service.

Each jersey will have the name "Kahlau" on the back above the number "9" and a captain's "C" on the front to memorialize the Fredonia State men's hockey player who passed away earlier this year following a skiing accident. Kahlau would have been a rising senior entering his fourth year as a member of the Blue Devil team. He will serve posthumously as team captain during the 2021-22 season.

The memorial game is scheduled for Nov. 6 vs. Trine University. Through donations of Blue Devil hockey alumni, spearheaded by Bobby Pelowski, a member of the first men's varsity team, enough jerseys were purchased so that each current team member will have a Kahlau jersey to wear during that night's pre-game skate. All proceeds from jersey sales will benefit an endowment fund set up by the Kahlau family, with the money used to benefit the men's hockey program.

Donations to the Tanner Kahlau Memorial Fund are also being accepted.
